5 artistes du Qué bec in the running for the Grammys

Quebecers Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Xavier Dolan, Kaytranada, Allison Russell and Arcade Fire shine among the artists in the running for the next Grammy awards gala, big party American Music Festival which will take place on February 5th in LosAngeles.  

Orchestra master Yannick Nézet-Séguin has distinguished himself in a magnificent way, with his five nominations.   

He appears twice in the category of Best Opera Recording (for Aucoin: Eurydice and Blanchard: Fire Shut Up in My Bones) as well as in the categories of Best Choral Performance (for < em>Verdi: Requiem — The Met Remembers 9/11), Best Classical Solo Vocal Album as Pianist (for Voice of Nature — The Anthropocene) and Best Classical Collection (for < em>A Concert for Ukraine).

Winning three citations last year, he won Best Orchestral Performance.  

Electro artist Kaytranada, who won two golden gramophones last year, was nominated for Best Dance/Electro Recording for his song Intimidated, in collaboration with American musician H.E.R. 

Singer-songwriter Allison Russell picked up two nominations this year, appearing in the category of Best Roots Song for Prodigal Daughter (alongside songwriters Tim O'Brien and Aoife O'Donovan) as well as Best Roots Performance (along with Aoife O'Donovan for the same song).  

Montreal's debut album, Outside Child , earned him three citations last year, including Best Americana Album.  

The album Weby Arcade Fire, which won the prestigious Album of the Year award for The Suburbs, is in the category of Best Alternative Album. The group continues to tour, despite allegations against its lead singer.  

Finally, filmmaker Xavier Dolan distinguished himself as a director and producer in the category of Best Music Video thanks to Adele's Easy on Me. < /p>

With her nine quotes, Beyoncé leads the race of this 65th Annual Grammy Awards. 

The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS television on February 5th 2023 and streamed live on Paramount+.
