A 66-year-old pedestrian hit by a motorist in Ahuntsic-Cartierville

A 66-year-old man is in hospital after being hit by a car that was driving on Papineau Avenue, in Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Monday afternoon. We no longer fear for his life.
Around 3:35 p.m., police officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) were called to intervene following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the’ avenue Papineau, south of rue Fleury Est, in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville
According to initial information from the SPVM, the 19-year-old motorist was traveling north on avenue Papineau when he collided with a pedestrian, a 66-year-old man, who was crossing from west to east.
Injured in the upper body, the victim was quickly transported by Urgences Santé to a hospital. While the pedestrian's condition was critical at first, he is now stabilized, according to medical authorities.
