A bill for the promotion and protection of indigenous languages
The Minister of Aboriginal Affairs, Ian Lafrenière.
On the occasion of National Indigenous Peoples Day, the Minister responsible for Indigenous Affairs, Ian Lafrenière announced that a bill is being prepared to ensure the promotion and protection of Indigenous languages.
Stricken with COVID-19, the Minister made the announcement from his Twitter account. A few months before the provincial elections, Ian Lafrenière explained that he wanted to put all the necessary elements so that the “next government” could introduce this bill.
