A camp burns behind the Guy-Favreau complex
The fire took place early Monday morning behind the Guy-Favreau complex.
The camp of a homeless person burned down early Monday morning behind the Guy-Favreau complex, near the Palais des Congrès. The fire, which may have been accidental in nature, destroyed his tent and all of his personal items.
The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) confirms that the person was taken to hospital after becoming disorganized following the fire. She did not suffer any injury related to the latter.

She was taken care of by police officers from the SPVM's socio-community division following the incident.
Metro recently reported the presence of several camps of people homeless people in Montreal, a symptom of a lack of resources and appropriate response that systematically leads to dismantling.
