A fleeing vehicle hits a snowplow on Highway 40
A collision between a fleeing vehicle and a snowplow took place this morning on Autoroute 40, in Montreal . No injuries were to be deplored at the end of the incident, according to the Sureté du Québec (SQ).
The SQ police officers were alerted around 8:45 a.m. to the presence of a stolen vehicle circulating on Highway 20, near the municipality of Les Cèdres. The latter would have tried to stop the race of the motorist for the first time, without success.
After escaping the patrol officers, a second pursuit began when the vehicle was seen near Saint-Jean Boulevard in Pointe-Claire. It is in this area that the collision took place. The chased driver allegedly tried to leave the highway and lost control of his vehicle.
The operator of the snowplow suffered no injuries. Although not injured, the driver of the stolen vehicle was transported to a hospital as a preventive measure.
