A major fire breaks out in Saint-Henri
A major fire broke out last night on Saint-Jacques Street, in a residential building in the borough of Saint-Henri, in Montreal.
The flames quickly spread to neighboring homes, complicating the task of firefighters deployed to fight the blaze.

On Twitter, the Montreal Fire Department (SIM ), reported that an intervention was underway at the intersection of Saint-Jacques and Lacasse streets. The latter also indicated that a fifth alarm had been raised and that power cuts were to be expected.
The SIM also asked citizens to avoid the area.

Over a hundred firefighters have were mobilized to fight the flames.
