A possible child abduction attempt in Outremont

A police operation is still underway in Outremont Park, located at the corner of Outremont Avenue and Saint-Viateur Street. It could be an attempted child abduction, but the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) has not confirmed anything.

The police have been on site since the end of the day.

“There is no confirmed kidnapping at this time,” said SPVM spokeswoman Véronique Dubuc. The police force is still doing checks, she added.
