A project stopped in Longueuil to protect the chorus frog
Canada's new Minister of the Environment and the Fight against Climate Change, Steven Guilbeault, announces an emergency decree to protect the critical habitat of the Chorus Frog in Longueuil. The decree, which suspends the project to connect Boulevard Béliveau to Boulevard Vauquelin in the arrondissement of Saint-Hubert, takes effect immediately.
The objective of the decree is to protect and restore this species by protecting its habitat against destruction.
