Trapped on dating sites

Samuel Moderie used dating sites to trick his victims. He would go to their home and administer drugs to them. Once they were unconscious, he sexually assaulted them before stealing their property.

Such events would have occurred in Montreal, McMasterville and Saint-Jérôme, according to the SPVM. The assailant was arrested thanks to a collective effort by investigators from the SPVM Sexual Assault Section, the Richelieu-Saint-Laurent Police Intermunicipal Board, the Saint-Jérôme Police Department and the Sûreté du Québec.

The GESC mobilized

Since several victims are involved in this case, the management structure for the investigation of serial crimes (GECS ) was mobilized.

“It is a unified command structure in which Quebec police services work in partnership to identify crimes committed by predators and to arrest them,” details the SPVM. The serial crime investigation management structure is coordinated by the SQ.
