MONTREAL — A young man 21 years old has survived after being shot several projectiles from a firearm in an attempted murder that occurred Thursday night in Montreal-North.

According to the police Department of the City of Montreal, a call was received at 911, at 21: 50, to gunshots heard on the streets of Villeneuve, near the intersection of the boulevard Langelier, in the borough of Montréal-Nord.

On-site, the patrol officers discovered the victim injured at the top and bottom of the body. The young man was transported to hospital in a critical condition. The police said they were informed early this morning that it was now out of danger.

A security perimeter was erected on the rue Villeneuve, in order to protect the crime scene.
