An intruder enters a school in Quebec city with a belt of fake ammo
A man, possibly intoxicated, who was wearing a belt of fake ammo is entered in the secondary school Joseph-François-Perrault, in the centre of Quebec city, Wednesday.
Around 11.10 am, the man went inside the public school of the district of Saint-Jean-Baptiste. He appeared “intoxicated” and “wearing a belt of ammunition to the size,” says Étienne Doyon, a spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ).
The man would have remained less than five minutes in the school. A school employee spotted him and asked him to get out of the institution. The individual has to obey, accurate Marie-Elaine Dion, a spokesperson for the commission scolaire de la capitale.
This is a student who has opened the door to the man by mistake, ” says Ms. Dion. But the man has not been seen by other teenagers.
“It didn’t really cross students, said Marie-Elaine Dion. It has not been long enough for it.” At this time, the students were in class, in exam period.
There has been no panic in the school, ensures the spokesperson. “It happened so quickly that no one has been in shock”.

The suspect was scheduled to appear at the palace of justice of Quebec on Thursday to face a charge of criminal harassment.
