Anjou: students targeted by a firearm
Several students from the secondary school of Anjou were targeted by a firearm on Wednesday in mid- day, near their school.
The students were waiting for the bus when several individuals in a vehicle pointed a weapon at them, without triggering it. The scene scared the students, who started fleeing in all directions, near Saint-Donat Avenue. The Montreal Police Service (SPVM) quickly intervened to secure places.
“A car with several people on board showed up. These people would have threateningly challenged students who were outside for lunch. The police quickly showed up on the spot to ensure everyone's safety, ”reported the management of the Anjou secondary school.
The incident resulted in no injuries and an investigation has been opened.
The vehicle used by the suspects involved in this assault was located at the end of the day on Wednesday, in the borough of Rivière-des-Prairies. No weapon was inside it, according to the SPVM.
