Éric Filion has resigned from his position as vice-president of Hydro-Québec.

The vice-president of Hydro-Québec, Éric Filion, will leave his management position at the state-owned company on February 17, Radio-Canada has learned. He was one of the candidates approached to take over from Sophie Brochu at the head of Hydro-Québec. He would leave for a private company in order to “take up new professional challenges”, according to an internal communication sent to employees of Hydro-Québec

Mr. Filion joined Hydro-Québec in 2016 as Vice-President – ​​Customers and was responsible for customer services, but also for advanced metering infrastructure, market development in Quebec and the integration of new technologies, including solar and energy storage. He was Executive Vice President at the time of his resignation.
