Celebrated Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price, currently on reserve with a knee injury, said he supports The Canadian Coalition for Gun Rights (CCFR).
In an Instagram post where he is seen decked out in hunting gear and armed with a firearm, the athlete takes aim at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s measures to limit the number of guns in Canada and’ to strengthen their control.
“What Justin Trudeau is trying to do is unfair,” he asserts.
“I love my family, I love my country and I care about my neighbour. I am not a criminal or a threat to society. I support the CCFR CCDAF to keep my hunting tools. Thank you for listening to my opinion,” Carey Price posted.

Recall that faced with the increase in armed violence in the country, the Liberals have engaged in a legislative war against the sale and transfer of weapons. At the end of November, the government of Justin Trudeau proposed a permanent definition of an assault weapon prohibited by gun control legislation.
Raquel Dancho, the Conservative word on public safety, had called the measure a general war on hunters.
The Liberal government, with this amendment, is preparing to ban almost all shotguns and semi-automatic rifles. So we are talking about bird hunters. Bird hunters use semi-automatic shotguns, she said.
