Collège Lionel-Groulx: an individual still sought after
The man seen in the video captured by a student from Lionel-Groulx College in Sainte-Thérèse, and whose presence triggered the confinement of the establishment as well as a major police operation yesterday afternoon, is still wanted by the authorities.
“The RIPTB is asking for the public's help in order to identify the person who was filmed and who corresponds to the suspect in this case”, declared this morning the Régie de police intermunicipale Thérèse-de-Blainville (RIPTB).

The short sequence, filmed by the student and authenticated by the police, showed an individual driving near the intersection of boulevard Ducharme and rue Saint-Louis, armed with an object qualified as suspicious.
However, it was impossible to determine exactly what the man was holding in his hands.
Recall that a white code had been launched following a call to the RIPTB around 1:35 p.m., informing of the presence of a possibly armed person.
Last night, Lionel-Groulx College indicated in a press release that the situation was under control.
“This unfortunate incident which has created great concern leaves no one hurt. No suspects have been intercepted and the police investigation is continuing,” the institution said.
Psychosocial assistance has been made available to the student community and staff members.
