COVID-19: A significant increase in future hospitalizations according to INESSS

From 1,600 to 2,100 regular hospital beds could be occupied by patients with COVID-19 within the next three weeks according to projections released Thursday by the National Institute of Excellence in Health and Social Services ( INESSS).
The figures for regular beds exceed level 3 of the hospital downsizing plan at which we are currently. The maximum level is 4. & nbsp;
In intensive care, 300 to 375 beds are expected to be occupied. We would be approaching the third level.
A new threshold
These figures would exceed the thresholds reached during previous waves of the pandemic.
Data was collected from COVID-19 cases detected up to December 27. The data may therefore be even more important given recent increases in hospitalizations.
