COVID-19: Quebec reaches 16,461 new cases
The increase in COVID-19 cases continues as Quebec reports 16,461 new infections on December 31, including 13 additional deaths .
According to data released today by the government, 151 people are in intensive care, 13 more than yesterday. The total number of hospitalizations goes up to 1063.

Yesterday, the province had 14,188 new cases, 9 new deaths and 939 hospitalizations.
There are also 1,522 active outbreaks.
The vaccination continues
In all, 16% of the population obtained their third dose, of which 40% were among those aged 60 and over.
Remember that the booster doses are offered to priority clienteles, such as healthcare workers, people over 60 and public sector employees.
