COVID-19: significant drop in hospitalizations
Quebec again today recorded a drop in hospitalizations related to COVID-19, with a decrease of 117 people. A total of 3,153 people are still bedridden in hospitals across the province.
In terms of intensive care, Quebec also recorded a drop of 17 people, for a total of 235 people currently admitted to intensive care.
Among the new hospitalizations of the day and admissions to intensive care, 80 people are aged 59 and under and 151 people are 60 and over.
Quebec has recorded 56 additional deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the human toll of the COVID-19 pandemic at 13 065 deaths.
Infections reached the figure of 3,956 new cases for this new day. However, this data is not representative of the actual number of cases, since screening is limited to a limited number of people.
