Note that this model which was used for this Steven Spielberg film was created by Carlo Rambaldi, the father of E.T.!
< p>The target before the sale was between 2.5 and 3 million dollars.
In addition to this model, the BMX bike that actor Robert Cardoza used during the shooting also found takers at a cost of only $125,000.
To return to this model designed by Rambaldi, it remains unique in its kind (due to its 85 different points of movement), since since years, computer-generated images have been used excessively by Hollywood productions.
Remember that the film received nine Oscar nominations, winning five trophies in total. The film was re-released in theaters last summer to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its release.
