Edith Cochrane and Isabelle Brouillette publish their first children's book
“Derrière mon armchair” is published by Éditions La Bagnole.
Édith Cochrane and Isabelle Brouillette have joined forces to publish their very first children's book, entitled Derrière mon armchair. The work intended for children aged 4 and over was written by Edith and illustrated by Isabelle.
The youth album, published by Éditions La Bagnole, will be released in bookstores on June 9 . It tells the story of a child who creates a whole world for himself by peeking behind his living room chair, where he notices things like a forgotten popcorn, an overdue ant, a lonely sock, and more. /p>
“At home, in my house, in a corner of the living room, there is an armchair. An old green armchair. My mother says it's olive, I say it's soft. I love this armchair… but above all what is hidden behind it”, can we read as an excerpt in the press release.
The idea for the project was launched two years ago by Edith Cochrane at her longtime friend Isabelle Brouillette. The latter, who has always been passionate about drawing, adds her unique color to the endearing characters staged by Édith.
Remember that the actress and host Édith Cochrane announced at the beginning of the year that she left television and by extension the show Les enfants de la télé which she had hosted for eight years alongside André Robitaille. She also launched the second season of her series C’est plus qu’un jardin, broadcast on Unis TV.
We saw Isabelle Brouillette on screen in the series De Pierre en fille, written by Julianne Côté.
