Engorgement at the Montreal Children's Hospital
The Montreal Children's Hospital.
Due to a high number of hospitalizations, the Montreal Children’s Hospital is currently unable to receive non-urgent patients. It is the hospital of the McGill University Health Center which explained the situation in a press release Monday morning.
“This increase puts a strain on the emergency services, which must take care of patients waiting for a bed,” the hospital said in the press release.
The Montreal Children's Hospital therefore asks its patients to consult their doctor, go to a rapid access clinic or call Info-Santé by dialing 8-1-1 if their condition is not urgent (categories 4 and 5).
