Claude Plante La Tribune Sherbrooke is joining forces with the cities of Rennes in France and Surprise and Tucson in Arizona to launch a new collaboration to facilitate the marketing of innovations internationally.
This “Entrepreneurial Triangle” aims to promote the growth of innovative companies. The initiative, in partnership with the Government of Quebec, is holding its virtual launch this week under the theme Commercialization of disruptive innovations. Nearly 175 entrepreneurs, researchers, student entrepreneurs, experts, economic developers and investors from Canada, France, the United States and Slovenia are participating.
The Sherbrooke – Rennes – Arizona Entrepreneurial Triangle brings together Sherbrooke Innopole and the economic development organizations Destination Rennes and Le Poool in Rennes as well as the Surprise Economic Development Department and Tech Parks in Arizona.
The participants want to promote the sharing of knowledge, practices and resources related to the development and marketing of innovations internationally, with the aim of facilitating the procedures and the networking of companies with their adopted territory.
In order to equip technology companies with the marketing of their innovation, the partners invited expert Paul Millier, Arts et Métiers ParisTech engineer, professor at Emlyon business school and business advisor, to the virtual launch summit.
A doctorate in management sciences, Mr. Millier has been researching the marketing and management of technological innovation for nearly 40 years. He has developed an innovative method for capturing the markets of the future, SegmentuitionTM, which he will share with participants over the four half-days of the event.
This first networking activity proposed by the Entrepreneurial Triangle aims to set the stage for a subsequent phase of development, which provides for exploratory missions with companies in foreign territories. The organization of these missions will start as soon as the international situation relating to COVID-19 allows.
