SUNRISE, Fla. — The Quebec Jonathan Huberdeau has amassed four points and the Florida Panthers were dealt a second setback in a row that the Montreal canadiens by winning 6-5 on Sunday night.

Huberdeau had scored only two goals in 24 career games against montreal, but he has brought the attack of his team on his shoulders through a crop of two goals and two assists. He also finished the clash with a differential of + 5.

The companions of the trio of Huberdeau, Aleksander Barkov and Evgenii Dadonov, have also experienced a wonderful evening of work. Barkov got two goals and one assistance, while Dadonov has been complicit in two goals to the Panthers (20-13-5), who signed a second consecutive victory.

Noel Acciari and Mike Matheson have also moved the ropes for the local team. Sergei Bobrovsky has been shaken in the beginning of the match, when the attacker Phillip Danault has been pushed on him, but he remained in front of his net to conclude the game with 38 saves.

It was not an easy game defensively for the Canadian (18-15-6), but the men of Claude Julien have scored at least four goals for a fourth time in their last five outings.

“When you score nine goals in two matches, you should be able to come out with points,” said Julien after the game.

“Unfortunately, we exchange a lot of chances [to score] with the other team, and we are not in a position to play this way, especially with the injuries. It is important that we played much tighter defensively than what we are doing in this moment”, he added.

Tomas Tatar, Jeff Petry, Max Domi, Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Shea Weber have threaded the needle for the Blue-white-red, which saw Carey Price allocate six goals in 34 shots. Nick Suzuki has set the table for three goals of his own.

Julien made it clear that Price was not to blame in the defeat.

“Everyone can be better than what we have been. If you can take the flowers when we win, we must cash out the criticism when we lose, has supported the head coach. All the world can be better defensively.”

The Canadian will put an end to the year 2019 by visiting the Hurricanes in Carolina on Tuesday night.

The beginning of thunder

After having experienced an early game for the thunder against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the day before, the Canadian seemed to be caught in quicksand in the first period and the Panthers took advantage. Acciari was first jumped on a loose puck to open the scoring and less than two minutes later, Barkov has enjoyed a bond in favour to inherit the disk in the slot before beating Price.

The game of Suzuki, however, has given wings to the Tricolour and the attacker recruit has led the charge in preparing the three first threads of his troupe. Before the end of the first period, Suzuki has got an aid on the goal in the numerical advantage of Tatar, and the second commitment, the 20 year old young man was complicit in the successes of Petry and Domi.

“Nick plays well. As I’ve always said, this is a guy who improves as the year goes on,” pointed out Julien, about her foal.

The first trio of the Panthers, however, handed the hands of the clock by dominating the middle period. Barkov has leveled the mark by completing a nice discount Huberdeau and Quebec scored two goals in 35 seconds to saw off the legs of visitors.

Matheson has managed the eventual game-winning goal as early as the 45th second of the third round, when his shot from the point hit the blade of the stick of Weber before to deceive the vigilance of Price between the shin guards. Kotkaniemi took advantage of a numerical advantage to score his fifth goal of the season, and Weber has closed the gap after a shot, but the rebound has not materialized.
