Premier François Legault, like many admirers, went to the Bell Center in Montreal on Sunday to pay a last tribute to the majestic Guy Lafleur.
The legendary hockey player lies in state today and Monday. “Like many, I went to the Bell Center to say goodbye to Guy Lafleur today. Moved to see so many people who came to pay tribute to their hero. Thanks for everything, Guy! Thank you for inspiring us and making us proud. We will never forget you!” declared Prime Minister François Legault, via Twitter.
Comme beaucoup, je me suis rendu au Centre Bell pour dire au revoir à Guy Lafleur aujourd'hui. Ému de voir autant de monde qui se sont déplacés pour rendre hommage à leur héros.

A national funeral will be held on May 3, starting at 11 a.m., at Marie-Reine-du-Monde Cathedral.
Several personalities had asked Quebec to provide a state funeral for Guy Lafleur, who passed away at the age of 70. There were many tributes on social media for the former Montreal Canadiens forward who had lung cancer.
