Granby: crime down

Crimes against the person and property and traffic collisions have all been down in 2018, according to the annual report of the Granby Police Service presented Thursday morning.
The police counted 2630 crimes in 2018 compared to 2680 the previous year, a decrease of just under 2%, according to the report unveiled by the director Bruno Grondin, who chose to make the presentation in a retirement home in Granby.

Crimes against the person, that is, homicides, attempted murders, assaults, robberies, threats and crimes of a sexual nature, decreased by 5.77%. They went from 503 in 2017 to 474 last year.
