Celebrations invite themselves to the Ecomuseum Zoo

The Montreal Zoo will welcome you for a few days under the theme of the Day of the Dead. In addition to enjoying the route that makes you discover animals from here, you will be able to see decorative installations such as a cemetery of extinct animals, a giant spider and a forbidden labyrinth.

Zoo members can participate in a pumpkin decorating contest, which must be done under the theme of animals. Bring your artwork on site between October 18 and 30 for a chance to win a “special” prize.  

Candy hunt on rue Notre-Dame 

It's time to visit the merchants on rue Notre-Dame to stock up on candy. In addition, the street will be pedestrianized for the occasion and events will be held on site for a most festive atmosphere.

Storytelling at the Lachine Museum

The Lachine Museum invites you to dive into the world of storyteller Robert Payant, who will present his show Magie et sorcellerie: adventure and fear are on the menu, for the whole family.

Haunted Griffintown

For the less fearful, experience the route that retraces the history of Griffintown, passing by the Lachine Canal, old cemeteries, ruins and old buildings suspected of being haunted. The 90-minute experience is narrated and guided by a professional actor and storyteller.

Pumpkins and other curiosities 

This exhibition will help you discover why pumpkins have become one of the symbols of Halloween. You can also appreciate the cucurbits decorated by young Dorval residents and by the artist Alex S. Girard.

A special tour of the exhibition will take place on Saturday, October 29, from 7 p.m., hosted by the Sisters of Ciere (yes, you read that right). You are invited to come and dress up and take advantage of the surprises there will be on site!
