Due to the numerous power outages caused by bad weather conditions, the University of Montreal has decided to suspend the Wednesday evening classes which were to be held in the Pavillons Marie-Victorin, the Pavillon de la Faculté de musique, the Pavillon Marguerite-d'Youville, as well as the Pavillon de la Faculty de l'Aménagement.

If further outages occur during the evening, an update will be posted on the university website.

The freezing rain mix of winds hitting the metropolis is causing damage. Around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, more than 325,000 Hydro-Quebec customers were without power in Montreal.
