Investment of $338 million in affordable housing in Quebec

Ottawa is investing $338 million in the construction of 1,400 social and affordable housing units in Quebec. Of these, there are 119 in Montreal.
This is what was announced jointly by the Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion, Ahmed Hussen, as well as the Minister of Housing, Andrée Laforest, at a press conference , Tuesday.
We want to make sure workers don’t have to choose between putting bread on the table and paying the rent.

Of the housing units, 350 will be intended for seniors, 200 for people at risk of homelessness and 190 for people living in situations of violence. The largest share of housing will be located in Gatineau.
