Series of murders: a suspect was shot dead

A suspect was shot dead in a motel, in connection with several murders, by law enforcement in the Saint-Laurent borough , indicates the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

This suspect would have lost his life during a police intervention in a motel located on Marcel-Morin Boulevard, specifies Emmanuel Couture, SPVM public relations agent.

The investigation was entrusted to the Independent Investigations Bureau (BEI).

Three murders in two nights

On Tuesday evening, two homicides took place in Montreal, in the boroughs of Saint-Laurent and Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

The first homicide took place on boulevard Jules-Poitras, in Saint-Laurent, according to the SPVM. The police, who received a call around 9:45 p.m. about gunshots, discovered a 64-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the upper body. His death was pronounced on the spot, specify the police.

The SPVM was then called around 10:50 p.m. for shots on Meilleur Street, in Ahuntsic-Cartierville. Police found a 48-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the upper body. His death was pronounced on the spot.

According to other media, a third man, aged 20, was shot dead Wednesday evening in Laval-des-Rapides.
