Big news in the Montreal restaurant scene. Famous chef Martin Juneau and his partner Louis-Philippe Breton bow out of Pastaga, a must-see restaurant on Saint-Laurent Boulevard.

Lovers of the establishment needn’t worry too much. Current chef Francis Duval and his wife Geneviève Beaudoin will take over. The couple keep the place, but plan to change the name of the restaurant (and possibly the concept).

“It's logical that it's them: Francis was there for day ONE of the Pastaga and he met the woman of his life in our kitchen,” writes Martin Juneau on his social networks.

Hoping that the suite will live up to everything that has made the reputation of Pastaga: its festive and relaxed atmosphere, its refined Quebec menu, its simple and refined decor, the possibility of observing the cooks in action and the wide range of natural and organic wines selected by Martin Juneau himself.

Encore temps!

It is always possible to discover or say goodbye to Pastaga as we know it by the end of 2022 since the lease of the two current partners does not end until December 31.

The restaurant will participate in’ elsewhere at the MTLàTABLE event, during which tables d’hôte at low prices are offered, in November.

Next, the restaurateur intends to celebrate the 11th anniversary “IN BIG” at the beginning of December and could always come and celebrate there during the holiday season.

“It will be a bit like the “last call” for two grandfathers of Montreal restaurants ise […] To all those who have wanted to come and see us for sooo long… it’s your chance! », Concludes the restaurateur in his announcement on social networks.
