Locaal: the new platform for your gourmet purchases
Get blueberry syrup from Saguenay, bourgots from Gaspésie or sea salt from the Magdalen Islands without having to travel? This is what the new Locaal site offers, launched this week, just in time for the holidays!
After creating its ready-to-eat brand in 2020, Locaal launched its brand new platform on December 12 with always the same mission, that of promoting the local products that each region of Quebec has to offer. The online store thus brings together more than a hundred 100% Quebec delicatessen products, to be delivered directly to your home.
In particular, you can find natural salt from the de-la-Madeleine, “sea bacon” seaweed from Gaspésie, cranberry and fir syrup from Saguenay or even thyme and orange lemonade made in the Outaouais.
If you are more the type to like nice surprises, Locaal also offers you to buy one of its fifteen suggestion boxes. Discovery, essentials, gourmet or sweet and savory flavours, all you have to do is choose the theme and let yourself be surprised.
By making all these products accessible, this new store aims to create proximity between buyers and craftsmen and to promote responsible and sustainable purchasing.
“Locaal facilitates encounters between lovers of local products and those who pick, harvest and prepare these products with love and passion”, says the vice-president of Gestion Locaal, Daniel Labonté, by press release.
The platform also allows you to learn more about the companies and artisans who manufacture the products sold by Locaal and even offers some recipes that highlight the products offered.
