Major failure at the Internet provider Ebox
Quebecers who subscribe to the Internet provider Ebox encountered difficulties connecting to the Internet this morning. At issue: a major outage at Ebox, affecting part of Quebec and Ontario.
The company has confirmed, from its Facebook account, the presence of an outage affecting several of its services. The latter assured that its teams were “working actively to remedy the situation as soon as possible”.
Many reports were made before noon, mainly in Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa.
If the service was restored at the end of the morning in the metropolis, other regions of Quebec, such as the Capitale-Nationale, were still deprived of Internet at noon, according to some users.
Remember that Ebox is a Longueuil-based company with more than 200 employees, which offers its services to nearly 80,000 customers in Quebec and Ontario.
Former partner of Videotron, it has was acquired by Bell in February.
