A SIM truck
A major fire has been brought under control on the Plateau. The firefighters' intervention ended around 7 p.m., the Montreal Fire Safety Service (SIM) said via Twitter.

The fire broke out in the afternoon in a building at the intersection of Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Prince-Arthur Street. The SIM then asked the population to avoid the area.
Dozens of fire engines were on site to try to control the blaze. No casualties are to be deplored.
