Claude Plante La Tribune MAGOG – The Régie de police de Memphrémagog (RPM) has opened an investigation following a major theft of perfume that occurred in recent days in Magog.

The theft would have occurred during the night of Saturday, October 31 to Sunday, November 1, at the Galeries Orford shopping center, on Sherbrooke Street.

The introduction took place through the roof of the building using specialized tools, says Mickaël Laroche, prevention and media relations officer at the RPM.

“The premises in question had been rented for the weekend to a company that sold perfumes and jewelry,” he said.

“The exact amount of the theft remains to be determined, but it would be a theft over $ 5,000.”

No other details can be disclosed for the moment given that there is an investigation, specifies Mr. Laroche.

Those with information regarding this theft are asked to contact the RPM at 819 843-3334 or at policerpm.com. Information can obviously be treated confidentially. You can also contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-711-1800.
