Millions of air fryers recalled due to fire hazard
Wait before heating your frozen croquettes! Over two million Cosori brand air fryers (also commonly referred to as air fryer) are being recalled due to a fire hazard.
It is the wire connectors of these popular portable devices that are at risk of overheating and igniting, according to Health Canada’s safety advisory.
At the beginning of the month, the American company received 205 reports of major problems (fire, flames, smoke, melting products), including 56 from Canada. Minor property damage and minor burns were also reported.
If you own one of the 21 recalled devices, stop using it immediately and request a free replacement from Cosori. Requests can be made online or by phone at 1 888 216-5974. No receipt will be required.
To find the model number, just look at the label under the fryer or in its instruction manual. For the batch number, it is located on the bottom of the device or on the back, under its exhaust duct.
