Montréal-Nord: a corpse recovered from the Rivière des Prairies

The body of a man floating on the Rivière des Prairies, in the Montreal area- North, was taken out of the waters on Friday afternoon.

Witnesses who saw the body, near the intersection of boulevards Gouin Est and Langelier, alerted the emergency services at midday, according to the Montreal Police Department.

A team from the Montreal Fire Department (SIM) intervened, by means of a boat, to recover the remains.

At the time these lines were written, SPVM investigators were to go to the scene to gather information to better understand the circumstances surrounding this incident.
