Montreal: sexagenarian stabbed, son arrested

MONTREAL — A woman of 64 years is based in a stable condition in hospital after having been injured by blows of a sharp object that had been inflicted on the evening of Christmas in an apartment in the north-east of Montreal.
His son, a man of 27 years old, was arrested in the vicinity shortly after the arrival of the police.
The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) reported that to 21h20, an appeal to 9-1-1 reported that a conflict had broken out in an apartment of a building located on boulevard Châteauneuf, in the borough of Anjou.
Arriving on the spot, the police found that the lady had injuries to her upper body. Thursday morning, the reason for the conflict remained unknown.
Investigators from the SPVM will analyze the crime scene to establish the circumstances of what happened.
