Montreal should receive its first snowflakes on Wednesday

Montreal expects to receive its first snowfall on Wednesday with almost five centimeters expected.

Winter is upon us as the weather forecast announces about five centimeters of snow in the metropolis this Wednesday. Snowflakes are also expected in Montreal on Thursday.

This snowfall comes after a month of October when Quebec recorded heat records. The snow will therefore coincide with the return of normal seasonal temperatures, while the mercury will hover around 0°C all week. Warm clothes and boots will therefore be in order this week.

Earlier this year, several boroughs had prepared for winter by ratifying several snow removal contracts.
