Montreal will host a world beach volleyball competition
Montreal will host the Beach Pro Tour, an international beach volleyball event.
Montréal will host the Beach Pro Tour, an international beach volleyball competition, for the first time, at Parc Jean-Drapeau from July 26 to 30, as part of the SMASH Festival. The public will be able to attend the various games as the world volleyball elite from more than twenty countries, including Canada, will compete on the sand of Jean-Doré Beach.
Volleyball teams in Montreal will attempt to qualify for the Paris Olympics scheduled for 2024, which will fuel the importance of the game for the players.
“We are delighted to include Montreal as a stop on the Beach Pro Tour. Montreal is the perfect place to bring together volleyball fans, including passionate and committed fans from Quebec and Canada. We will provide them with a unique opportunity to witness the competition of the best teams in the world,” says Volleyball World CEO, Beach Pro Tour Manager Finn Taylor.
Tickets are already on sale for the duration of the competition. A regular ticket for the qualifying day on July 26 costs $13.64 plus tax, compared to $66.53 for the final, which will be held on July 30.
