The 25-year-old man from Mascouche is accused following the events that occurred in the parking lot of Galeries 4 – Saisons last April.

The cases of Nacime Kouddar, currently charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm while driving a vehicle, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and hit and run causing bodily harm, returned to court to determine the rest of the cases. procedures.

The absence of Philippe Jean's medical report, that of the pathologist as well as the coroner's report means that the file cannot progress legally. New charges could be filed.

The prosecuting attorney Me Gabrielle Cloutier and Me Kim Dingman have agreed to postpone the case until mid-December so that this new evidence can be disclosed to the defense.

In parallel with the main case before the Court of Quebec, Nacim Kouddar awaits the decision of the Superior Court on a request to change his conditions of release.

At the beginning of the week, Judge Charles Ouellet of the Superior Court took his request under advisement where he asked the court for permission to drive a vehicle to work.

The judge will determine on October 14 whether he grants the modification of the release condition.

The magistrate issued a publication ban on the facts of the case at the request of the prosecution at the start of the hearing of the request for modification of conditions on Monday.

The victim security agent in this case, Philippe Jean, died on August 20 after spending nearly five months in a coma.

Philippe Jean, father of five, had been in a coma since the altercation of April 4, 2020.
