New relaxations in effect as of today
New relaxations in health measures come into effect on February 28, including the gradual return to work and the lifting of the wearing of masks in the workplace.
“Today’s announcement is great news for Quebec workplaces,” said CNESST Director General Manuelle Oudar.
Adjustments in the workplace
Telecommutingis no longer mandatory as of Monday morning. Gradual return is therefore possible, but in hybrid mode.
Continuous wearing of a mask is also no longer mandatory if there is a physical distance of two meters which is respected or if there is a physical barrier. However, wearing a mask remains compulsory in traffic areas.
No distancing is required during food consumptionin dining rooms or break rooms. Wearing a mask is however required when there is no food consumption.
The capacity can go up to 100% for transportation, but wearing a mask remains compulsory.
Restaurants, bars, casinos
Bars and casinos can now reopen within 50% of their capacity. Everyone will have to remain seated and the vaccine passport will obviously be required.
The closing of bars, restaurants and casinos can now take place at 1 a.m., but the end of food and drink service must be at midnight.
In addition , dancing and karaoke are still prohibited in establishments.
Sports and Recreation
The participant limit is now lifted and competitions and tournaments can resume indoors.
Same thing for school sports, competitions and tournaments are now allowed.
Places of worship
There is no longer a capacity limit in places of worship.
Relaxations as of March 14
Other relaxations will come into effect as of March 14. The capacity of restaurants, bars and casinos will, among other things, be 100%. No limit of person per table will be required and closing will be at the usual times.
