New room of vascular surgery hybrid at the Hôpital Saint-François d’assise
A new hall hybrid entirely devoted to vascular surgery will be inaugurated on Thursday at the Hospital of St. Francis of Assisi.
This room hybrid, which is part of the Centre of excellence for vascular diseases of the CHU de Québec, is accessible to the entire population of the eastern Quebec and is open 24 hours on 24, every day of the week. It allows the practice of surgery vascular advances, when combined with advanced imaging techniques, including through the use of a robot for imaging and a table of hybrid operation.
It would be a first in Canada, according to the CHU of Québec and the ministry of Health.
This project has benefited from development work the cost of which amounted to $ 3.6 million, borne by the CHU de Québec. Investments related to the equipment, which amounted to almost $ 2.5 million, were funded by the Fondation du CHU de Québec.
The project also received funding from a number of donations of the doctors in the team of the Centre of excellence for vascular diseases of the CHU de Québec, for an amount totalling $ 155 000 $.
