“No chicane in my cabin!”: force his parents to divorce!

Not part of the famous franchise, but still in keeping, in its style, in line with the timeless Tales for all, this first feature film by director Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers (who is also writing the screenplay, jointly with Maryse Latendresse) is based on a super-cute story: tired of hearing her mother, Julie (Isabelle Blais), and her father, Martin (Pierre-Luc Brillant) – the two actors, as we know, form a couple in real life – arguing, Justine (cute Charlotte St-Martin) decides to take drastic measures to force her parents to… separate.

Because everything is a pretext for misunderstanding in the home, and Justine is only entitled to shouting and quarrels when she is in the same room as her parents, who barely notice it. Of course, by scratching under the varnish, one will discover that these have a heavy heart for several reasons. But, for the preteen, the atmosphere turns into a nightmare.
Funny court
Justine finds an amicable divorce form, inquires about the Youth Division, breaks her little pig and goes to file the required documents herself in court. But “children cannot break up a marriage”, he is quickly made to understand.

The resourceful kid therefore sets out to take the law into her own hands, with the help of her friends (Liam Patenaude, Charlie Fortier, Louka Amadeo Bélanger-Leos and Simone Laperle). Then emerges a whole childish stratagem to drive mom and dad up against the wall. This will ultimately lead to a strange court… What will be the sentence?
Of course, No squabbling in my cabin! vehicle of soft values and is essentially aimed at young audiences, often neglected by the seventh art here. Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers called on the opinions of young people of the age of her target audience in her creative process, in order to fine-tune a work faithful to their expectations. A few weeks before the end of classes, No squabbling in my cabin! is shaping up to be great family entertainment for the start of summer.
