The City of Sherbrooke and the Center de services scolaire de la Région-de-Sherbrooke hope that the situation will return to normal for the winter 2021 session.

Sébastien Lajoie La Tribune Swimming lessons and free swimming periods planned for this fall at the Montcalm school swimming pool have been canceled due to organizational difficulties linked to the COVID-19 pandemic, announced the City of Sherbrooke , Thursday morning.

As recently raised by the Center de services scolaire de la Région-de-Sherbrooke, manpower in health management and supervision is currently difficult to recruit.

Green light for the renovation of the CAP swimming pool

The massive arrival of additional customers for swimming lessons and free baths would add to the current task. The City of Sherbrooke understands the complexity of managing sports equipment.

Programming deployed at the University of Sherbrooke

The Université de Sherbrooke has rolled out programming for its fall session at its sports center, programming estimated at just over 50% of the usual offer.

Registrations have been underway since August 26th.

Those interested who want to use the training hall or a lane in the swimming pool must be members of the Sports Center of the University of Sherbrooke, and they must reserve their place via the website of the Sports Center.

You do not need to be a member to register for the various courses offered.
