Old Port: a woman rescued after a fall in the St. Lawrence
A 19-year-old young woman who fell in the St. -Laurent early this morning, was fished out and rescued by the Montreal Fire Department (SIM), assisted by the police and the Urgences-santé service.
The events took place around 7 a.m., in the Old Port of Montreal, near the Big Wheel.
Thanks to the rapid intervention of the emergency services, the victim would not have remained trapped in the icy waters for long.
On Twitter, the SIM had indicated that an ice rescue team operation was underway.
