One of Quebec's most wanted criminals arrested in Montreal
An individual implicated in a murder perpetrated in Repentigny last March and who appeared on the list of the most wanted criminals in Quebec was arrested last night in the area of Hochelaga, in Montreal.
This is Alexandre Durand-Artiles, a 20-year-old man. The arrest was made by police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), with the support of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The suspect will appear by telephone on Sunday and in person on Monday, at the Joliette courthouse. He notably faces charges of murder, kidnapping, forcible confinement and threats, the SQ said in a press release.
Alexandre Durand-Artiles had been actively sought by the authorities since the arrest at the end of March of Raymond Félix Bakodok, in connection with the murder of Youcef Khelil. The man, who has already accumulated several criminal records, was known to the police.
