Pigs can get erections again thanks to science

These pigs can rejoice in scientific advances.

A synthetic fabric, which was designed by Chinese scientists, has allowed some pigs injured near the penis, preventing erection, to get it again, report AFP and Journal de Montréal .

If it works for an animal, we can imagine that it could help humans in the future, right?

In a press release,  one of the instigators of this special fabric clarified that it was “an area that has received little attention, but the needs are enormous”.

Experts reported that about 5% of men have Peyronie's disease, which is most likely caused by injury during sex. This disease causes, among other things, a curvature of the penis.

At this time, men can go under the knife in order to obtain a transplant, which can however be rejected by the immune system.< /p>

It was therefore from there that the researchers began to test a synthetic fabric constructed of hydrogel based on polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), “undermining the properties of this membrane”, like the reports the Journal de Montréal.

The tests on the little pigs in question were very surprising, as the penis was able to regain a normal erection, almost immediately. After a month, the result was still as satisfactory.

So this is very promising for penile injuries in men!
