Radiant Baby in “Deluxe” version
Montreal artist Radiant Baby released a “deluxe” version of his album Pantomime on Thursday, whose sounds evoke the 70s , glam rock and new wave.
In addition to the 10 tracks of the opus, live versions and remixes, Radiant Baby offers here a new piece in French, Inconnue. The song is added to the four other pieces in the language of Molière which were already on the original album, released in autumn. This includes some of the best Pantomime titles, namely Reputation and Comique.
During his performance at the Club Social Le Scaphandre (also known in English as The Diving Bell Social Club) on Saint-Laurent Boulevard last week, the artist also sang songs from his debut EP, It's My Party > (2017), and on Restless (2019), including the very catchy You Can Dance, the artist's first “misdeed”.
Good news, Radiant Baby, or Félix Mongeon of his real name, also presented during this show new compositions which should be found on a next opus.
The original album – produced by Steeven Chouinard, drummer of the electro-pop group Le Couleur – was nominated at the last Gala de l’ADISQ in the album of the year category – other languages.
