Sabrina Lavoie La Tribune Les Correspondances d'Eastman lose their captain, but the Musée de la nature et des sciences de Sherbrooke (MNS2) gains a new sailor: Raphaël Bédard-Chartrand, who has been piloting the Eastman literary event for six years, will report to new challenges as of November 16, the MNS2 having announced yesterday its appointment as director of the programming and reception department.
“It is with pleasure that I will join the management committee in order to share my achievements and help the museum stand out even more in all its facets”, comments Raphaël Bédard-Chartrand, who, with the help of the other members of the team, will participate in the development of the programming of cultural and educational activities intended for the public.
“Mr. Bédard-Chartrand has contributed to the development and influence of Correspondances d'Eastman thanks to his inspiring leadership, creativity and vision […]. It stood out as part of a rigorous selection process, ”said the museum's director general and curator, Michelle Bélanger, in a press release.
The new director has a bachelor's degree in literary and cultural studies, a master's degree in French studies as well as a graduate degree in business strategies. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Conseil de la culture de l'Estrie and a member of the Partner project for educational success in Estrie (PRÉE) committee.
