Reopening of cinemas, performance halls and places of worship on Monday

A new phase of relaxation of sanitary measures begins on Monday throughout Province.

Public events and places of worship

Quebec allows the reopening of cinemas and performance halls as of of today. However, their capacity is limited to 50% or a maximum of 500 people and no intermission is permitted.

Outdoor public events are also permitted, with a maximum capacity of 1,000 people.

Places of worship can also reopen today, at 50% capacity or with a maximum of 250 people.

Unsurprisingly, the vaccination passport will be required in all these places.

Quebec allows funeral ceremonies, condolences and viewing of the body or ashes indoors starting today, but with a maximum of 50 people.

The vaccine passport will not be required.

Another phase on February 14

Gyms, spas, indoor golf facilities as well as climbing centers will be able to reopen from February 14.

Extracurricular activities at the college and university level may also resume, but without games or tournaments.

In anticipation of March Break, the Quebec government will also allow day camps to hold their activities.
